The Cura clinic offers a range of tests, the most common one being the IgG93 food panel test. This involves a small blood sample and the sample is sent to a laboratory for immunological testing. A report is returned with a list of foods which the patient has created an immune response to. To prevent further complications and inflammation, the patient is recommended to remove these foods from the diet for a minimum of 3 months. Sometimes they can be re-introduced after herbal and nutritional treatment which assist healing and immune modulation.

Which Foods are Tested in the IgG Allergy Tests?
In the most common test, over 90 different foods are tested. A Vegetarian Food List and Asian Food List are also available.
- Dairy: Casein, Cheese (Cheddar, Cottage, Mozzarella), Milk (Cows, Goat), Whey, Yogurt.
- Fruits: Apple, Apricot, Banana, Blueberry, Coconut, Cranberry, Grape, Grapefruit, Lemon, Orange, Papaya, Peach, Pear, Pineapple, Plum, Raspberry, Strawberry.

- Meat/Fowl: Beef, Chicken, Egg White (Chicken), Egg Yolk (Chicken), Lamb, Pork, Turkey.
- Fish/Seafood: Clam (Manila), Cod (Atlantic), Crab, Halibut, Lobster, Oyster, Red Snapper, Salmon (Pacific), Shrimp (Western), Sole, Tuna (Yellowfin).
Food Allergies vs Food Intolerances
This is where the body reacts inappropriately to a food protein. The immune system is stimulated and anti-bodies (IgE) to that food protein are produced. The next time that food is eaten, there will be a severe reaction because of the antibodies present. The reaction is almost immediately seen or experienced. This may present as hives, skin rash, swelling or diarrhea. The most common food allergens are cow’s milk, egg, wheat, peanuts, seafood (prawn, crustaceans, fish, etc) and possibly soybeans but people may have allergies to almost anything.
